In case our domain hasn’t made it clear, Josh and I are taking a new family name: Robern.  We will be keeping our original surnames professionally, but for friends and family (and at some point in the near future, legally!) we are becoming The Roberns.

It was also very important for us to officially start the yearly tradition of the family holiday photo, so this past weekend we met Seth, Sonja, and Mikayla at Disneyland and asked him to take some pictures of us.  Seth has taken pretty much every good picture that exists of Josh and me, so it seemed only appropriate to do it on purpose this time.  :)  Here are just some examples of his work:

We are already receiving gifts for Squish, including much-needed diapers.  Shannon passed along a huge selection of books from Raiden’s youth, and Raiden himself hand-picked a stack of his personal favourites to give to his new cousin.  Sonja brought tons of hand-me-down clothing over on Thanksgiving for us to use.  We are blessed with everyone’s support during this economic crisis; our gratitude knows no bounds.

My blood pressure is great and I have no sugar or protein in my urine, which is even better.  I passed my first 3-hour glucose as well, which means my Metformin dose is holding.  My last thyroid panel came back with T3 a tad high, but TSH barely above 1, so my dosage for that isn’t changing, either.
